Mr. Allen is a patriarch of aerospace engineering stress analysis. He is at the top of his game. He has forty years of experience in aerospace stress analysis. This has consisted of trade studies, detailed board coverage, stress and fatigue analysis, liaison, field service and report preparation on both aircraft and helicopters. It includes analysis utilizing NASTRAN, PATRAN, FORTRAN, and specialized advanced composite programs.

Mr. Allen is a stress analysis encyclopedia and has lead many stress teams for several different companies as a contractor. We are lucky to have Bobb as a member of our team.

After serving with the US Army Corps of Engineers for two years as a structural engineer from 1965 to 1967, Bobb worked with military personnel as an Offsite Lead Structures Engineer for Vought Corporation under contract to the U. S. Navy. His responsibilities included advise with onsite repair techniques for all aircraft in the Navy inventory. This necessitated extensive travel throughout the Orient including Japan, Nationalist China, the Republic of the Philippines, and Vietnam. Many tours at sea were required aboard U.S. Navy aircraft carriers for immediate aircraft damage evaluation. His service as an offsite liaison officer ended at the end of the Viet Nam conflict in 1972.

His vast experience is highly valued and is a known commodity. He has worked at Boeing, Vought, Bell Helicopter, Grumman, L3, and General Dynamics (Lockheed). He has managed teams of stress analysts for several of those companies. Both commercial and military, programs with Bobb’s signature on them include the A-7B, C, D, E, K, TA-7C, and YA-7F, the VSX S-3A, 214ST helicopter, F-111, EF-111, A-12, F-22, B-2, P3, JSF, the MH-60M Sikorsky Black Hawk helicopter, 747 empennage, 707 fuselage restoration, Hawker XP, Boeing 767, 747, and 787 aircraft.

You are in good hands with Bobb on your project. He knows how to get the job done and has the experience to avoid the pitfalls and setbacks that can occur without the right people in place. Mr. Allen holds a highly respected place on our team.
